Charles & Charlus was founded in the 1970s.
The brand established itself in the Tarn region, in the heart of an area where the leather goods tradition is a culture in itself.
Acquired and rooted in the Mazamet workshop, it is now certified as a "Living Heritage Company" (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant), a recognition that cannot be bought.
Fifty years after its beginnings, Charles & Charlus remains a family business. Same workshop, same high standards, same relationship with materials.
French expertise
Each piece comes from a workshop where the process is as important as the outcome.
We work exclusively with leathers selected from leading French tanneries – full-grain taurillon, nubuck – materials that reward time and effort.
Our leathers are chrome-free, complying with the strictest environmental and health requirements.
Each creation bears a unique serial number. Not as a symbolic tradition, but because each bag is a handmade piece, crafted in a workshop by people who know their trade.
